If I'm not mistaken, you are confusing Salma with Catherine Zeta Jones. Jones starred in the Mask of Zorro alongside Antonio Banderas. Did Salma star in an earlier version? I didn't see it in her film credits.

I think Salma's best role was in Desperado, but overall I still like Catherine better.

One with Ashley Judd playing a photographer, another with Diego. She is a hottie. The movie is sexy and visually splendid. Check it out - I saw it at the SF MOMA a couple weeks ago, Hopefully they did not remove the hot sex scenes for general release.

Story is that Frida got a steel rod shoved up her pussy in a bus accident when she was a young woman, After that I think she could only enjoy DATY and clit licking, not penetration.

ZZZZZZap!

That's a MOVIE PLOT? Or did you think you were posting to the fantasy thread in Conservatory? http://forum.myredbook.com/dcforum2/DCForumID8/8102.html

That is legend. The details of her injuries in that accident are not clear, other than that the steel railing entered her hip. Many believe the part about it exiting there was made up. Some also say she was found nude. How would that have happened? The accident details have been made into legends.
It is known that her spine was broken, and her pelvis broken in three places. Her foot was crushed, and caused her pain the rest of her life. It eventually had to be amputated. She took up painting while recovering from that accident.
She was able to conceive, but suffered miscarriages.
Frida was much more beautiful than Salma Hayek. She had an exotic, striking look. Her father was a German Jew, and her mother was a Mexican. Her beauty was unique and distinctive.... like her talent.
I read the "biography" of Frida at salmahayek.org and was amazed how much incorrect information it contains. I want to see the movie, but I'm afraid that it will trivialize her life to entertain people.

13. "RE: The movie is getting good reviews"
In response to message #11

I can't wait to see it. Most of the reviews are very good. The Mercury News has given it 4 stars.

Salma spent the last ten years trying to get the movie made. Apparently she read about Frida's life as a young girl and it deeply affected her. I think she can be trusted to do a good job. The movie apparently does gloss over some of her early life, but this is more to get to the heart of of the story - her life as a painter. Julie Taymor has used Frida's art very effectively as part of the visual presentation. The Mercury said that this is one of very few movies about artists that actually made the clear the motivation about the paintings and what the artist was saying to us through the work. Alfred Molina's performance as Diego Rivera is also supposed to be very good too.

The scary thing was that while Salma was working to get the movie made she had to deal with several competing projects that tried to get launched with major Hollywood stars - including J Lo. If you want to imagine a movie that trivialized Frida's life - think of J Lo in the role. It started playing in SF this weekend and I think it will start playing in San Jose next weekend.

Are you kidding? Frida was a cool person, but c'mon now, she wasn't a looker in anyones book. Nice unibrow, anyway.

This is kinda like when women think Meryl Streep is good looking, isn't it?

5. "From Dusk till Dawn"
In response to message #0

On of her first films was Quentin Tarantino's From Dusk till Dawn. She was a vampire/stripper who did a dance with a giant snake. Here are some pics:

The quality of these pics isn't great, but they give you an idea of just how sexy that scene was!
