"Hotel Recommendation"
Hiya folks. An out of area provider I knopw is coming to the area for a few days (for business)and asked me for a suggestion on where to stay in the City. Having never used a local hotel for hobby related activities, I'm kind of at a loss, so I thought I'd throw this one out to everyone. Can someone recommend a respectable but not extravagant hotel where business can be conducted without attracting undue attention. Suggestions from providers about places you like or from clients as to where was convenient/comfortable for you would all be very appreciated.

Thanks.

i'm not sure about right in the city, but any marriott residence in (they're everywhere) is good...not too expensive, the suites are set up like small apartments, studios up to 3 bedrooms, and most of the complexes are spread out like a townhouse complex, three or four suites to a building...there's usually plenty of parking, and no lobbies or elevators, etc. through which alot of "traffic" might attract attention...hope that helps

I've mentioned this before.....

You CAN get decent rates at the Hyatt Regency (Embarcadero Center)in downtown San Francisco. Their 'specials' are around $175 - $210 for VERY nicely appointed rooms.

http://www.hyatt.com/usa/san_francisco/hotels/photo_a_sfors.html

The thing I like about the Hyatt is that it's such a 'thoroughfare' -- with conventions, pedestrians, etc -- that thre are 1001 reasons you might be there AND there are so many people walking around that it's easy to be anonymous. And, with the interior atrium being so spectacular, even if you bumped into your WIFE on an upper floor, you COULD say you were awestruck walking through the lobby and were just sightseeing!

Of interest to more than a few of you I'm sure, they ALSO offer HALF DAY rates (either 8-4 or 9-5) for around $125. That's pretty good for downtown SF.

Caveat: do NOT park there. The valet parking is a ripoff at $38! Providers should tell their clients to park at Embarcadero Center or ANYWHERE else.

Finally, if you mention that you saw a providers' ad on Eros-Guide, you will get a complimentary 'Hyatt Tricks' ammenity in your room which includes a vibrator, bathrobe, 2 condoms, lubricant and a live sheep!

Isn't that what condoms are for?

I REALLY liked the Stanyon Park Hotel. It is near Golden Gate Park. I remember I took the Fell St. exit off 101 north to get to it. It has VERY beautiful, romantic, old fashioned rooms.
I have stayed overnight there with a friend, but not done multiple appointments there. I think if she were discreet it would be ok, but I don't know for sure.
It is moderate priced, I think, but I don't know, I didn't pay for the room.
It she wants atmosphere, I would highly recommend it. It has a website I think it's www.stanyonpark.com

$125 is pretty darn reasonable for SF. Especially if the hotel is a nice one.

I have had many out of town guests stay at the Stanyan Park when I lived in the Haight. I haven't had any contact with them for a couple of years, but when I did it was a small, clean, well run hotel. Sometimes they are booked well in advance (or used to be).

Wouldn't a small hotel make it more difficult to have lots of visitors without raising suspicion?
