An old thread said it was a scam.

The guy never hooked-up with anyone. He thought most were bogus.

I don't know from experience.

I signed up but in order to email anyone you have to join some silver or gold club. I wanted a free membership but that doesn't get you anywhere. So, it just might be a scam.

with the personals. I have responded to a few Women seeking Men
ads. They all say "I'll send you a picture if you send me yours." I always remind them to keep their promise and send me a picture anyway, even if they aren't interested/attracted to mine. . . I want to see how badly they lie about their looks (or are unrealistic). They ALL LIED. All replies have been very unattractive. . .I realize that looks are subjective and I know we always want to put a positive spin on things, but let's be realistic. . .Most of the ads say, "My friends tell me I'm cute or very good looking". . . NOT EVEN AVERAGE.

I think another large majority of the Women Seeking Men clueless as to why they aren't in a relationship. (maybe that applies to all of us) There will be a long list of qualities that she is looking for and will a whole lot of ATTITUDE. To the point of really turning you off.

I am curious if guys have had more luck in the "Women Seeking Men" section or the "Casual Encounters" section? I just can't realisticly see an attractive sane woman answering some of those graphicly rude ads. Any thoughts.

I tried out the free membership, but it was way too limited and nobody ever responded. I am sure if you paid for the VIP membership the guys or girls who run the site might send you some exciting email that you could jack off to. Don't waste your time.

Back in the good old days of the internet (circa 1997-99) and adult friendfinder I had a very successful encounter with this terrific black girl from Pittsburgh PA (I didn't go there she flew here and we had a wild weekend in Carmel).
As for today, I would not bother with it. In fact I would not bother with Yahoo, love@aol, or Excite personals. These sites have produced nothing for me recently.
Matchmaker.com has its own ALT site and local SF and SILICON site in which I have been marginally successful, mainly with the older (40+) ladies (one of whom I still see on a regular basis). Of course they are all looking for "true love" and all that BS, but that doesn't stop them jumping in the sack with a younger man once in while....
But right now my recent favorite is Match.com. I like Match.com because of the Venus feature which e-mails about 10 matches per week to the ladies, and they often respond to these 10 matches. You see the common problem will ALL the other personal sites I have mentioned is that there is no control over the number of e-mails that women get from eager, lusty men.....in fact most women I meet complain they hate these sites because their e-mail boxes are swampped with stupid messages from men/teenagers/men-acting-like-teenagers.
Of course the truth be said about all these sites is that they just offer a different way of meeting women and they take alot of effort sometimes to land a date, especially given the vast number of men on them. Personally I am less inclined to look online anymore because of this, its just too much hard work.

I had one successful contact thru AFF, and that was 4-5 years ago. Nothing going lately except junk mail.
