"Stupid emails"
I have gotten a few emails lately that are really stupid. One guy said that he had read on Redbook that I was an escort, was it true? Now does that either sound like someone who isn't all there, or a cop? And then another person emailed me claiming that "she" was thinking about getting into the business and could I tell her how, and all my advice etc. Now either this "girl" is really dumb, or more likely, it is a guy hoping to masterbate to my response!! Too funny

Nicole, I've always wondered -

What percentage of your e-mails and phone calls would you say are of the "stupid" kind? By that I mean they're not really seriously looking for info, or they're trying to draw you into some kind of phone-sex thing, or stuff like that (What ARE you wearing, by the way? LOL).

I've heard some stories from providers about being overwhelmed with calls and emails with only a few of them being serious inquiries. Is it really that bad? Does it tend to make the provider more cynical and make clients look like schmucks? And what advice do you have for a client who's looking to make first contact?

I actually do not get a whole lot of stupid emails. I did have a girl email me before asking about incalls/outcalls. I was pretty sure that she was legitimate and emailed her back. I think that the best advice for emailing providers is to be respectful and not explicit. I had this one guy email me and say very explicitly what he wanted to do, plus send me a picture of him naked with an erection. And he emailed me 2 more times, plus sent an email to the admin of my site, who is my husband!! All I could think was that this guy was a complete psycho! Also, if you have had bad experiences with providers in the past, it is okay to mention it, but I do not want to hear the details of it in your first email to me. It makes me think that no matter what, I am not going to be able to please you. Also, it is fine to mention that you read my reviews, but if you go on about how you studied each one of them carefully and re-read them over and over, that makes me nervous. Then again, I feel that your fantasy of me is so built up in your mind that I am not going to be able to live up to it in reality. Anyways, just some advice, I hope that it is helpful

OK, I get it now!

The right way to do it is to pose as a former girlfriend of yours (so I can give myself a good recommendation) and ask for your student virgin discount!

I'll also make sure to attach a photo of myself naked, with an erection (not sure I can hold the camera that far away), but I promise not to send you more than one e-mail . . . more than one e-mail . . . more than one e-mail . . .

Thanks for the advice, ladies!

I think my best "stupid email" was a from a college kid in Davis who inquired about a discount for virigins... Pretty lame intro (in my opinion).

I've received many others that were not much better. It doesn't make me cynical about clients, these guys clearly are not clients. They are merely trying to find some entertainment via correspondence.

The following is an excerpt from an actual email received by me about getting together that I would say is a good first contact...

"I saw a review on you that was very encouraging and I have been thinking about seeing you since you posted some pictures. My problem is I need an incall session. Do you still do that? If you do I would be very interested in setting up an appointment."

He then went on to provide contact info etc. I get many emails similar to this one... some provide more info about the guy, others keep it brief like this one. Either is okay by me.

I hope this helps your curiosity!

Niqui

Yes, some young (at least that's how they what they say) guys have emailed me asking for a student discount too!! But, the one that you posted is definately a good example of the right way to go about emailing providers.

I have that happen too. And girls email me all the time. At first I used to just blow them off. But now I make a few suggestions and wish them luck. I did send one a list of sites to submitt her site to. But it's hard to tell who is real or not.

Hi Zoe,

After you first log in - look at the top of the page and you'll see "Inbox" (located between "Read New" and "Bookmarks"). Just click on the word and you're there. Also, whenever you have new messages, you'll see a notification at the top left of the page with a red flag next to it.

Once inside, you'll see how to reply. Just type the msg in the box at the bottom of the Inbox page and click "send."

It is hard to tell who is real. I was trying to get in touch with a girl I used to know at MSC, and some psycho emailed me and said it was her. Luckily, some guys that knew her emailed me and warned that it was not her.

It's not in your best interest to encourage competition. But there might be a business opportunity there. Maybe someone should put together a manual, or offer a consultation service. Or maybe some of the big sites could increase their advertising revenue by providing links to sites with more information about business issues for newbies.

I do not think that she is "encouraging competition". If girls want to be escorts, they will find a way to do it. I have mainly given safety tips out. And they are important, I was lucky enough to have someone give me good advice, and so I try to give it too.

That's good hearted of you. Maybe some of you could set up a website with good advice and safety tips you could refer other girls to. Maybe there's even a public health agency in SF that would be sympathetic enough help out. I don't know, just tossing out ideas.

Nicole ,
I could not stop laughing at student discount. Now that gave me an idea. What about senior citizen discount. You know the seniors are on string budgets. They may cum to u and blow the rest of the month's food money. Is there a discount for AARP members and such.

Yes Nicole, she was already working but not getting much traffic to her site, or many call due to her site not being submitted. I figure she seemed nice and we now refer clients in each others prospetive areas to each other. It has been good for us both. But I got many pranks before her.

13. "To Nicole and others..."
I read this thread and thought it might be a good idea to start a thread containing some information about how to safely pursue a career as an escort. I put in a couple of links, but you might post answers to some common questions you get. That way, you can tell any new women who ask you questions to create an account and search for "provider" and either "guide" or "prospective".

Hope it helps, in any case.

Heck I would love that. I have only been an independant for 3 months and make many mistakes because I don't know any better. It would be great to have some kind of guide to go by. Great idea.
