Are those two things mutually exclusive? Isn't it possible to work toward decriminalization while, at the same time, praising good providers and criticizing ROBs?

of course we all are interested in quality service. But how many of us (including you, macimay) really want to go on the record and be an activist for decriminalizing prostitution? I'm sure many of these guys' wives, GFs, or moms would simply love the idea of having their guy be the poster-boy advocate for legalizing prostitution. Oh, and try explaining why you feel so strongly about it. Ever see those hair club commercials? "I'm not just the president-- I'm also a member!"

Why don't we all just stamp a big, red "I pay for sex" on our foreheads? I don't think it's any coincidence that the vast majority of prostitution advocates are the providers themselves.

Finally, and this is the most practically significant point: aside from the unwanted attention, most of us simply don't find that such time and energy is well spent in serving us with real-world results. As a useful vehicle for the exchange of information that could strongly affect our next encounter, RB is highly valuable. But why spend our time in an incredibly uphill, probably futile, and politically and morally nebulous battle with the government to change a law that is practically uneforceable anyway? The return on investment simply is not there.

I'd rather donate money to a known cause that would support the legalization of prostitution. But the fact that it is tacitly legal anyway really makes even this effort unneccesary IMO.

Macimay,

GOOD ONE! Now if we could only sell it to the other 5,498 registered RB users...
