dox (12 posts) 15-Apr-01, 11:40 PM (PDT) "Breakfast at Tiffany's" For some reason I decided to rent this movie a few nites ago. I'm not old enough to catch it way back when it was new, but have always heard about it. Now that I've finally seen it, my reaction is: damn, that Audrey Hepburn character is the ultimate ROB!! In a way the movie offers an interesting perspective from the providers point of view, but at the end it couldn't escape the old "hooker with a heart of gold" formula. "RE: MDS" according to what I've read on RB, Magic Dick Syndrome is the belief that a ROB will find you irresistably attractive that she'll give you great service, even fall in love with you, despite abundant past testimonials to her ROB MO. Movies like "The World According to Susie Wong" and "Pretty Woman" create the illusion of these hookers with a heart of gold, which suckers many of us into thinking "hey, maybe I'm the guy she's been waiting for all her life because I'm kind/charming/rich/what have you" Although I've never been tempted to see the infamous Claudia, apparently she inspires a lot of MDS among our fellow RBers.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
